The Correspondence of Zachary Taylor and Millard Fillmore is a digital project hosted by American University’s Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies. The project aims to locate and publish letters exchanged between Presidents Zachary Taylor and Millard Fillmore from 1844 to 1853, encompassing their political careers before and during their presidencies. The collection provides insights into the political landscape of the mid-19th century and the personal perspectives of these two key figures in American history. The project is led by Editor and Research Professor of Government Michael David Cohen and Associate Editor Amy Larrabee Cotz.
