  3. Call for Nominations: Julian P. Boyd Award

First presented in 1981, the Julian P. Boyd Award commemorates Boyd’s commitment to excellence and the breadth of his scholarly interests. The Boyd Award is given every three years to a senior scholar in honor of distinguished contributions to the study of American history and culture. For more information about it and past recipients, visit the Julian P. Boyd Award page.

The deadline for nominations is 14 March 2022, but the Committee encourages earlier submission. Nomination letters need not be excessively long or contain supporting documents such as copies of publications or CVs. We understand from previous committees that they welcomed two or three letters in support of a candidate.

Send letters of nomination to Joel Myerson via email or USPS. Please feel free to ask advice or solicit information about the nominating process from any member of the Committee.

We look forward to hearing from you.
