Hamlet Works is an innovative digital project that provides an interactive and scholarly resource for studying Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Developed by the Global Language Project, this platform offers a comprehensive exploration of the play through a layered approach that integrates multiple editions, critical notes, and scholarly commentary. Users can access various versions of the text, including the First Quarto (Q1), Second Quarto (Q2), and First Folio (F1), alongside modernized versions and facsimiles. The platform’s unique “Enfolded” feature allows users to view the text with embedded annotations, facilitating a deeper engagement with the play’s language, themes, and textual variations. Additionally, the site provides access to a growing collection of digital facsimiles and diplomatic versions of important editions, enhancing the research experience. Enfolded Hamlet serves as a valuable resource for scholars, educators, and students, offering a dynamic tool for the study of one of Shakespeare’s most complex and enduring works.
