Call for Mini-Grant Proposals: Awesome Libraries December 2020 Award
The Awesome Libraries chapter of the Awesome Foundation is announcing its final 2020 call for mini-grant proposals. The foundation will award $1,000 to a community-based archive or memory project. With this round of funding, Awesome Libraries hopes to support a marginalized community’s efforts and decision-making to collect, preserve, and share its history. All types of preservation and memory projects are welcome to apply, including but not limited to acquiring and preserving physical materials, events, exhibits, and documentary films.
Awesome Libraries was created by a group of passionate librarians who wanted to provide a catalyst for prototyping both technical and non-technical library innovations that embody the principles of diversity, inclusivity, creativity, and risk-taking. These principles are embedded in the grant selection guidelines.
If you have or know of a community-based archive or memory project that needs support, click this link to apply, or, share this opportunity. Applications are welcome through December 1, 2020, and the awardee will be announced in mid-December.
