SUMMARY:SNACSchool Create and Edit
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, SNAC (Social Networks and Archival Context)—a cooperative platform that helps researchers and archivists discover relationships between people\, families\, organizations\, and archival holdings across repositories—will host another series of its SNACSchool to introduce how to use SNAC. \nAs part of this series\, SNAC will host SNAC Create and Edit\, a multi-module course geared towards those interested in editing in SNAC\, on August 26 from 1:00–5:00 PM (Eastern Time). Some archival research training or experience is recommended before taking this class\, and you can find helpful videos on the SNAC website. Previously recorded sessions and PDFs of slide decks are also available to revisit steps and refresh your memory. \nThe courses offered this Summer/Fall semester will culminate in a live presentation in October through eLabs about how SNAC developed its training program. The courses also lead up to SNAC’s Fall Edit-a-thon\, which will be centered around SNAC’s merging function\, on November 12! SNAC’s full roster of classes and some additional information are below. \nAbout SNACSchool\nSNACSchool is our educational training arm which centers around 4 core courses that we offer in the Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall terms. The courses include our Research and Reference\, Create and Edit\, Train the Trainer and Tech Workshop module.
